At about 6:20 a.m. Tuesday, a residential fire at 165 Burnt Mill Road was reported by a passerby who made a 911 call to the Somerset County Communications Center.

SOUTH BRUNSWICK – A Richford Road home was damaged in a blaze Friday when a lawnmower outside the house caught fire, police said.

No injuries reported, and the residents had already evacuated the home when police arrived, police said.

At 2 p.m. Friday, South Brunswick Officer Greg Boldizar and Sgt. Anthony Pisano spotted smoke coming from the Richford Road home, police said.

Kendall Park, Kingston and Monmouth Junction fire departments responded to find heavy fire on one side of the house which had spread along the wall into the attic and roof.
